Be Quiet, Be Good
We were raised to be quiet. To be good. To sit nicely, speak softly, and never say too much.
Being “good” meant being small. Being accepted meant being silent. Even when something felt wrong, even when our hearts screamed for truth, we were told to keep it together, smile, and stay polite.
But what no one told us is that silence leaves a mark. It builds up. It stays stuck in your chest like a weight. And one day, it starts to feel like you’re living a life that was never truly yours.
We were never meant to shrink. We were never meant to be invisible just to be loved.
Being good isn’t about being silent. It’s about being kind. Being respectful. But also being real. Being honest. Being whole.
You can be a good woman with a loud voice. You can be soft and still stand tall. You can be kind and still say no.
Be good. But be free too.
